GREAT SUCCESS FROM OUR STUDENTS IN DIGITAL URBANıZATION COMPETITION

The event "DIGITALIZATION OF FUTURE URBAN LIFE STYLE" organized by İstanbul Kültür University Department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences and hosted by "1 DECEMBRIE 1918" University of Alba lulia (Romania), with the participation of South-West University in Blagoevgrad (Bulgaria) and Obuda University (Hungary) was held in the city of Alba lubia in Romania between 20-26 June 2024 within the scope of ERASMUS+ BIP (Blended Intensive Programs).

CERTIFICATES OF APPRECIATION PRESENTED TO STUDENTS TAKING PART IN THE "INTERNATIONAL DAY OF MATHEMATICS" EVENT

Certificates of appreciation were presented to the Mathematics-Computer Club students who took part in the "International Day of Mathematics Istanbul" event held at IKU on Thursday, March 14th, by IKU Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe and IKU Dean of Faculty of Arts and Sciences Prof. Dr. Ömür Ceylan. We congratulate the IKU students for their superb endeavours and devotion and wish them further success.

"Maths Day"

In cooperation with the Mathematics-Computer Club and the Turkish Mathematics Club, a "Mathematics Day" event was organized in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy campus on Thursday, March 14. The event, which is held every year on March 14 to celebrate "World Mathematics Day" and keep mathematics significant, was hosted by Istanbul Kültür University this year.

"DEVXPERIENCE SESSION 4"

Mathematics and Computer Club organized an event titled "DevXperience Session 4" on Friday, December 22, to provide students with information about the sector. Hepsiburada officials attended the event as speakers and informed our students about the software technologies and microservices systems they use.

"DEVXPERIENCE SESSION 3"

Mathematics and Computer Club organized an event titled "DevXperience Session 3" on Friday, December 15, at 15.00, in Bakırköy campus Ataköy building ground floor B corridor amphitheater, to explain the basic concepts of Microsoft Azure Cloud to the participants theoretically and to enable them to reinforce this knowledge in practice. At the event where Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVP) Mustafa Özdemir was the speaker, students were given extensive information about cloud computing concepts, service models and the basic features of Azure.
 

MATHEMATICS AND COMPUTER CLUB GET TOGETHER MEETING

Mathematics and Computer Club organized a first time get together meeting event on October 16, 2023, in the 1st floor multi-purpose hall of the Bakırköy campus Ataköy building, to give the members the chance to socialize with each other. At the meeting, which started with the speeches of the club president and vice president, the members of the club board introduced themselves and the committees they are responsible for.

"DEVXPERIENCE SESSION 1"

An event titled "DevXperience Session 1" was organized by The Mathematics and Computer Club to help improve the data analysis and data manipulation skills of the participants, on Friday, October 27, at 16.00 in the seminar hall of the ground floor d corridor of the Bakırköy campus Ataköy building.  In the event, where insights were shared on topics such as "What is Data Science?", "Data Science Stages", "Data Collection and Cleaning", "Data Analysis", "Data Visualization", "Modelling and Prediction", the subjects of Python Pandas and NumPy libraries were also highlighted.

MATHEMATICAL PERFORMANCE USING TEACHING-ASSISTANT LEARNING TOOLS

Istanbul Kültür University Department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences, "1 Decembrie 1918", in collaboration with Alba Iulia University (Romania) and Preschool Teacher Training and Medical College in Vrsac (Serbia), within the scope of ERASMUS BIP (Blended Intensive Programmes) between 23-27 October 2023 An international event called "Mathematical Performance Using Teaching-Assistant Learning Tools" was organized for undergraduate students. THE “BEGINNER LEVEL FRONT-END WEB DEVELOPMENT” CAMP PROGRAM CONCLUDED

The "Beginner Level Front-End Web Development" camp program, which was held for 12 weeks in the spring term in cooperation with the Mathematics-Computer Club and the "Patika.dev" platform, has been concluded. The camp program, attended by more than two hundred and thirty people, aimed to help the participants become proficient in virtual technologies and covered basic topics such as the use of Visual Studio Code, GIT, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Data Structures and Algorithms, and JavaScript.
